Quality Inspector

MUST HAVE OWN TRANSPORTATION. THEY WILL NEED TO BE ABLE TO TRAVEL TO CLIENT LOCATIONS TO TAKE CARE OF QUALITY ISSUES AT ANY TIME. MILEAGE WILL BE REIMBURSED.
MUST BE FLEXIBLE WITH TIME AND BE ABLE TO WORK OVERTIME AS REQUIRED.

JOB DESCRIPTION

JOB TITLE: Quality Inspector APPROVED BY: Quality Manager/HR

SUMMARY: Responsible for sorting product at the warehouse and customer locations.



DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Basic understanding of the containment process start to finish
Follow rework instructions and sorting instructions.
Report defect count.
Certify product according to procedure.
Maintains a safe, clean working environment.
Participates in quality improvement efforts.
Support customer location as needed.
Performs other duties as assigned by Team Leader / Quality Supervisor/Quality Manager.
Knowledgeable of forklift and warehouse procedures.
Understand basic QAD and FIFO procedures.
When and if sorts are closed, this position will be sent to customer locations deemed critical for inspection of product or used to support warehouse function.
Support new vehicle launch inspections at customer locations.
QUALIFICATIONS:

GED or High School Diploma required.
1+ year in Quality environment preferred. Not required.
Be flexible and have transportation to job site other than warehouse.
Basic understanding of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook). You will be tested prior to consideration.
PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to do the following:

Stand for long periods of time
Visit customer locations sort repair product online if deemed our issue per procedure.
Work with customer management at customer location if required.


WORK ENVIRONMENT:

A large percentage of work time is spent in a warehouse where temperatures are cool in the winter and warm in the summer. The noise level can be moderate to high.
