Procurement Administrative Assistant/Coordinator

$16.00 - $21.00/ hour

As a fast-growing entity in the health care services industry is ready to hire a Procurement Administrative Assistant.


  • Process non-contracted medical related equipment, services and supply add-on requests.
  • Receive, price, add and activate new equipment and supplies not originally contracted as part of initial client implementation.
  • Ensure equipment and supplies are added to contracts per departmental polices for accurate and timely invoice billing.
  • Monitor all assigned client sourcing requests either via project management tool(s) or requests received via phone or email to ensure continuity of patient care within 24 business hours.
  • Procure equipment, supplies and services and negotiates fair pricing based on internal policies and procedures to ensure fair market pricing.
  • Enter and track all assigned equipment or service requests via project management tool(s) and provides real-time updates for internal stakeholders and quality department.
  • Communicates equipment and service request status to all affected internal and external customers to ensure urgent patient care needs are met in a timely manner. 
  • High School diploma or equivalent is required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field is preferred
  • Minimum of one year of procurement or customer service experience is required.
  • Solid understanding of procurement functions is preferred.
  • General business acumen required and usually obtained through work experience, education or training
  • Durable medical equipment, pharmacy, managed care or other pertinent health care services industry experience is preferred
